A lot of bad things to hear from directories, sliding, but in reality it is just the same as a marketing tactic: to bark so much that you lose focus: what is good and what is bad?
Today, I have come across an interview with Greg Hartnett, Shimon's friends, when the President is the best of the web, otherwise known as the BOTW (pronounced BotWah). I've known the BOTW for ages, but even I have heard of so much evil directories which I thought immediately of "really? Are they still in operation? "
I'm sorry to hear that. The truth of the BOTW is a great directory and their President is some awesome insights:
Web directory is a web content classification. Throughout the day our editors search the web for quality Web sites, and then list them in the main category in the directory. Each listing is human reviewed, so users can be sure that all sites are appropriate and not spammy.
Another person who knows a lot of directories is Gail, who created a cool list of the most valuable DirJournal directory (another high quality directory!) and also posted in the update directory of the deals.
Such directories deserve a bad organization that acquired? Certainly there is still awesome for those who do not!
